Sound quality is fair. The recording is marred by extraneous noise, and the interviewer's voice is soft. However, Bertram Ross's voice is almost always easily intelligible.

Interview with Bertram Ross conducted by Selma Jeanne Cohen on June 22, 1971 in New York City. Streaming file 1 (approximately 46 minutes). [Begins abruptly.] Bertram Ross speaks with Selma Jeanne Cohen about the Martha Graham technique including changes over the years; teaching Graham technique, including exercises used and the principles of the Graham contraction and release [ends abruptly but continues on streaming file 2]. Bertram Ross continues to speak with Selma Jeanne Cohen about Graham technique including the filming of Martha Graham's work and his thoughts on various aspects of Graham's choreography [ends abruptly but continues on streaming file 3]. Streaming file 3 (approximately 8 minutes). Bertram Ross continues to speak with Selma Jeanne Cohen about Martha Graham and her work including an anecdote about her costume in Deaths and entrances.
