Content: Recording of notes for Agnes de Mille's book Reprieve: a memoir, 1981 (date of recording unknown) and recording of correspondence dictated by Agnes de Mille in the fall of 1978 while she was recuperating from her trip to Los Angeles, California, to film, for television, Conversations about the dance.

Agnes de Mille continues to dictate notes for her book Reprieve: a memoir (1981), describing her recovery following a cerebral hemorrhage including an anecdote about her sister Margaret, a discussion of the brain and memory, and thoughts on her second operation; [beginning at approximately 16:50 minutes in to the streaming file] De Mille dictates several letters, addressed, respectively, to Eunice MacRay, Mrs. John Asbury Eliott, James Bernhard, and Stanley Gilkey [at approximately 28:10 to the end of the streaming audio file, the recording shifts abruptly from De MIlle's dictating of correspondence to her dictating of a description of her surgery, presumably as part of the notes for her book Reprieve: a memoir].
