Notes recorded by Walter Terry on April 1, 1978 in New York City regarding performances by various dance companies, as an aide-de-memoire for articles in Saison de la danse, The New York Times, and The Saturday Review. Streaming audio file 1 (approximately 31 minutes). [Begins abruptly.] Walter Terry names the publications for which he will be writing articles incorporating material from his notes; speaks about Rudolf Nureyev's performances with the Murray Louis Dance Company, including in the works, by Murray Louis, entitled: Moments, Vivace, and Canarsie Venus; Nureyev's performances with the Nationale Ballet of the Netherlands including in the ballets Le corsaire and Afternoon of a faun; works performed by the Feld Ballet including Eliot Feld's works entitled: La vida, Harbinger, Impromptu, Footstep of air, Intermezzo, and Santa Fe saga, the last, a short solo created for Mikhail Baryshnikov; performances by Merce Cunningham and his company [Merce Cunningham Dance Company]; performances by the French company Théâtre du Silence; performances by the Belgium company, the Royal Ballet of Flanders [Koninklijk Ballet van Vlaanderen]; [ends abruptly but continues on streaming audio file 2].
