Content: John Gruen, as host, introduces his guest Rudolf Nureyev [an audio recording of a live performance of Nureyev dancing the pas de deux from the ballet Le corsaire is played followed by a commercial announcement]; Gruen speaks briefly about the upcoming film Valentino in which Nureyev is to appear [beginning of pre-recorded section]; Gruen and Nureyev speak about the newly-published book Nureyev (1975, 1977) by John Percival; dancing with different companies in various works including La sylphide, Murray Louis's Moments, and Fleming Flindt's La leçon [The lesson]; Martha Graham including performing in her work; the rationale underlying his revisions to Petipa's ballets Swan lake and Raymonda; Murray Louis and his ballet Moments; his upcoming performances with Margot Fonteyn; other upcoming performances [end of pre-recorded interview followed by Gruen's closing remarks and a commercial announcement].
