Description
Philip Sterling, the long-time writer and public relations executive for the Columbia Broadcasting System, conducted interviews between 1959-1962 for his (incomplete) biography on the African American entertainer Bert Williams. Part 1. (00:00-18:48). Philip Sterling interviews Nora Holt, an African-American singer, composer, and music critic. Holt talks about Bert Williams and his long-term artistic partner George Walker. Part 2. (18:49-31:22). Philip Sterling records a chapter from his book about Bert Williams on a personal device.
