Description
Philip Sterling, the long-time writer and public relations executive for the Columbia Broadcasting System, reads a chapter from his (incomplete) biography on the African American entertainer, Bert Williams. The chapter, recorded on a personal device, includes the history of Riverside, C.A., where Williams spent his youth, an interview with Ed [Edward] Rosenbaum, the publicist for the Ziegfeld Follies' Broadway productions (1907-1910/11), and excerpts from radio programs which include commercials, announcements, and program music.
