Parts 1 and 2. Philip Sterling, the writer and public relations executive who worked for the Columbia Broadcasting System for many years, reads some chapters from his biographical book on the African American entertainer Bert Williams and his long-time professional partner George Walker, to his recording device. That book never was completed. He uses some research library materials, and the book by Mabel Rowland " Bert Williams: son of laughter" published by English Crafters in 1923, and calls Walker and Williams Sons of Ham, by the title of their successful 1901 musical "Sons of Ham," produced by the team of George Walker and Bert Williams.
