Herbert Baker, an American lyricist, recalls episodes and anecdotes related to his mother Belle Baker, a popular singer in musicals and revues, his father, Maurice Abrahams, a songwriter, and their friends and associates among whom were Irving Berlin, Fanny Brice, Florenz Ziegfeld and others.
