Description
Burrows speaks about the significance of composers and downplays the importance of librettists and lyricists. At Wilk's request, Burrows, who wrote, doctored, and directed many Broadway shows, talks about Frank Henry Loesser, an American songwriter who wrote lyrics to the Broadway's hits "Guys and dolls" and "How to succeed in business without really trying," and many others, and discusses his collaboration with Loesser. He also speaks about Cole Porter whom he knew very closely, and points out Porter's qualities that made him stand out among his brethren.
