Venue: Recorded backstage at the New York State Theater [now the David H. Koch Theater] in November 1964, and broadcast by radio station WNYC, New York, on its series, World of dance.

Streaming audio file (approximately 15 minutes). Marion Horosko introduces Ernst Uthoff; Ernst Uthoff speaks with Horosko about how he went to Chile to form, initially a ballet school, and later, a company, the National Ballet of Chile [Ballet Nacional Chileno]; his background; Kurt Jooss' ballet, The green table; Jooss' choreography; the music composed for The green table, by Frederic A. Cohen; Uthoff's efforts to preserve The green table as Jooss created it; the uses of Labanotation in reviving a ballet; film as a tool for reconstructing a ballet.
