Description
Allen Case, a young actor who performed with Bobby Clark, who came out of retirement to tour with "Damn Yankees" in 1956-1958, remembers many details about his older colleague with whom he spent quite some time on a regular basis. Case describes Clark's habits, peculiarities, and qualities that included his talent to invent props and gimmicks; frugality in personal expenses and financial support of charities and people in need; his daily detailed accounts of all his expenditures that he wrote down in a special diary and kept for years; his tools and shoes fetishes (he had with him 3 trunks at any time: one containing shoes, and another, tools); his genuine interest in everything unknown to him; the meticulous care he took mending his clothes and other personal belongings; and recalls some details and experiences from their tour and from Clark's stories. The last 3 minutes is a chat between Case and Lipton not related to Clark.
