Sound quality is fair. The recording is marred by "tape hiss," but the speakers' voices are easily intelligible.

Interview with José Limón conducted by Marian Horosko (approximately 17 minutes) and Interview with Peter Spackman conducted by Alvin H. Reiss (approximately 8 minutes), most likely for broadcast on either the radio program World of Dance or the radio program Profile, in January, 1968. Streaming file (first approximate 17 minutes). José Limón speaks with Marian Horosko about artists and the circumstances in which art is created; the works his company [José Limón Dance Company] will be performing at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, in particular, his new work The winged; art as an intoxicant; the necessity of self-discipline; more on The winged, including the score, by Hank Johnson; the redemptive power of art. Streaming file (from approximately 17 minutes to 25 minutes) Alvin H. Reiss speaks with Peter Spackman, the editor of the new journal Cultural Affairs (published by the Associated Councils of the Arts) about its origins and its purpose; its editorial point of view; articles planned for the upcoming, second issue.
