Marian Horosko introduces Bertram Ross; Bertram Ross speaks with Horosko about the 18th American Dance Festival at Connecticut College: some of the works to be presented including his work Untitled; the dance faculty and the teaching of choreography at the Connecticut College School of Dance; the relationship between modern dance training and the choreographic impulse; film as a means to record dance; more on the 18th American Dance Festival at Connecticut College including the performance venue and artists and works to be presented; Paul Draper; more on Untitled including his collaboration with the composer Walter Caldon [an excerpt of the music for Untitled is played]; more on upcoming programs at the Festival; more on the faculty and students of this summer's Festival; some of the roles he has performed in Martha Graham's works; the increased opportunities for male dancers in modern dance today; his thoughts on Martha Graham technique; closing remarks.
