DescriptionRadio interview with Alfred Brendel, Austrian pianist, poet and author, who is widely considered to be one of the greatest pianists of all time. Brendel discusses the composers, whose music he likes to play such as Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, and Liszt and about various aspects of their musical works such a sense of humor, and moments of silence. He also speaks about the difference in cultural behavior of the audience in the countries he toured; his new recordings; and the importance of critical acceptance of new and well-known musicians. Recordings of Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, and Liszt piano works performed by Brendel were played during the interview.
