DescriptionPart 1 (2:00-9:38 minutes) contains an announcement of a new symphonic work with some passages from Anne Frank's diary composed by Michael Tilson Thomas and narrated by Audrey Hepburn. Includes a brief interview with Hepburn in which she talks about her deep personal connection to Anne Frank because of the same life experience: as a young girl who also grew up in Holland during the Nazi occupation; and with Michael Tilson Thomas who discusses the musical ideas he used for his new work "From the diary of Anne Frank."
The rest of Part 1 and all of Part 2 contains songs from two albums by jazz singer Diane Schuur: Timeless (1986) and Deedles (1984). (The interview was recorded over tracks 1 and 2 of the 1st album.)
