Description
During the post-discussion talk at the indoor space near High Rock Park, Bertram Ross discusses the works performed, the texts used, and the stories behind the words; talks about modern movement; François Delsarte's influence on dance; how contractions are used; differences between ballet and modern dance; Isadora Duncan's life and the movie entitled, Isadora, with Vanessa Redgrave; mishaps while performing with the Martha Graham Dance Company that were inaccurately told in a biography. Second performance was intended to be performed outdoors at High Rock Park, Staten Island, but due to thunderstorm was performed in a small indoor space nearby.
