DescriptionKwaidan, which means "a strange story," is not a ballet but a Western reinterpretation of a Japanese fairy tale without words. During a fight, a non-Japanese twin-couple, boy and girl, are separated from each other. The boy is brought up by a bandit leader. Having matured and been forced to assist his best friend in committing harakiri, he leaves home to search for the real meaning of life.
