Biographical/historical: Nella, described as a "ballet-pantomime mêlé des choeurs," was written by Charles Bridault and Duchateau, with choreography by Duchateau and music by Auguste Pilati. It was first presented at the Théâtre des Fleurs of the Pré Catelan in 1857.
