Description
Martin Bookspan interviews American composer Jimmy Van Heusen. Van Heusen speaks about his career as a musical composer and songwriter. He comments on his songs, music that he wrote for various Broadway musicals such as Skyscraper (1965) and Walking Happy (1966), for motion pictures, and television productions. The composer also talks about his work with various lyricists such as Tommy Dorsey, Eddie DeLange, Sammy Cahn, and Johnny Burke. The interview is accompanied by piano music played by Sammy Cahn.
