Description
This audio of WQXR's "Music from Germany" (episode no.1923; broadcast: 2/8/1974) celebrates the 150th birthday of Johann Strauss II by playing his unfamiliar pieces, ending the program with "surprise" recording from 1890 that Strauss actually conducted (originally taped by Pathé Brothers in 1890).
