All other recording information including the date, performer and instrumentation, provided by the cataloger based on audition and liner notes for The art of David Tudor, 1963-1992, c. 2013, New World Records.
Content: Contains music for Merce Cunningham's Tread (1970); possibly related to the recording of For 1, 2, or 3 people found on The art of David Tudor disc set. The relationship between Reel 1A and Reel 2A is unidentified.
Numbering: Donor's inventory number: R040, and, one reel with no donor inventory number. Labeled as dubs, the original recordings were not included in the donated collection.

Venue: Likely recorded in performance with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in the 1970's.
Acquisition: Gift; Merce Cunningham Dance Foundation, 2011-2012.
Action: Transferred from original open tape reel by the New York Public Library's Audio and Moving Image Preservation (PAMI) sound engineering staff at the Library for the Performing Arts on July 8, 2014. During transfer by NYPL, much of the tape on reel 1A (R040) contained no signal so the digital transfer of this reel was stopped short.
