DescriptionIn Part 1, lecturer and pianist Yvar Mikhashoff gives brief commentaries on each of the piano pieces, Cowell's own personal reflections of each composer, and the pieces' prescribed performing and notation styles, all interspersed throughout the lecture/recital. Some of the people he contacted with in preparing the lecture were Sidney Robertson Cowell and John Cage. In Part 2, Rene Prins leads the The Cowell Festival Wind Ensemble in a live concert, featuring trumpeter Benjamin Aldridge.
