Content: Picture caption: "Von den Häsen aus rückten deutsche Truppen in das Innere Norwegens, wo die Schnelligkeit ihres Vorgehens kaum Widerstand auskommen ließ. Hier wird in Oslo eine Radfahrerschwadron ausgeschifft."
Content: The Dutch, Belgian and French armies had bicycle troops, too. Used for reconnaissance, they performed a role previously filled by cavalry. Japanese soldiers riding along jungle trails on bicycles spearheaded the conquest of the British possessions of Malaysia and Singapore.
