Description
Company archivist David Vaughan describes this series, organized by Robert Swinston, as a "living archival presentation" of Merce Cunningham's choreography. This program focuses on Cunningham's work from the 1950s and is a repeat showing of the February 12th, 2007 program. Footage includes excerpts of Totem Ancestor, Septet, Suite for Five, Summerspace and Crises performed by MCDC and RUGs dancers, interspersed with discussion about each piece from a panel consisting of David Vaughan, David Behrman, Carolyn Brown and Merce Cunningham.
