Content: Summary: The narrator had a quarrel with his girlfriend Jane, but when he tried to reconcile (later that day) he found she had died; the following day he received a note from the deceased girlfriend forgiving him; he visits her, still on her deathbed, seeing the dried teardrops on her cheeks, and knows that the angels smile down at her.
