CONTENTS. - Reel 1 (approx. 63 min.): Introduction by Margaret Batiuchok. In an interview/demonstration recorded in the studio (approx. 52 min.), Tom Lewis and Batiuchok dance the lindy; Lewis explains and demonstrates its steps and the use of syncopations. He tells Batiuchok, with whom he has studied, how he began dancing; discusses the qualities of a good lindy dancer; and comments on different styles of performing the lindy. Improvised dance performance at the Cat Club (approx. 9 min.), recorded at CodanceCo's Gotta-dance Gotta-pay-the-rent Ball. Danced by Batiuchok, George Lloyd, Lewis, and Frank Manning, accompanied by the Loren Schoenberg Big Band. Brief footage of Batiuchok dancing with Lloyd and Meade in the studio. - Reel 2 (approx. 49 min. total). Repetition of part of the Cat Club footage, and of Batiuchok dancing with Lloyd and Meade (approx. 4 min.). Scenes of dancing at the Cat Club and the North River Bar, recorded on different occasions (approx. 45 min.). Among the dancers who appear are Batiuchok, Lewis, Lloyd, Meade, and Dawn Hampton.

Improvised dance performance at the Cat Club, New York, videotaped on March 21, 1988, by Ronald Kienhuis. Additional footage of Margaret Batiuchok, George Lloyd, Charlie Meade, and/or others videotaped by Vibeke Winding and Jesper Sorensen.
