Description
Lewis Archibald, a journalist who wrote for the magazine "Downtown," interviews Bill Forsyth, a Scottish film director and writer, known for his commitment to national film-making. During a series of interviews Forsyth talks about his European and American career, and various productions that he wrote and directed such as "That sinking feeling" (1980), "Local hero" (1983), "Comfort and joy" (1984), and the American comedy-drama "Housekeeping" (1987), that was recently released; and about comedy as his favorite genre. He also discusses his background; his first visit to New York City, comparing New York to his native Glasgow, Scotland; and his personal and professional relationships with various actors who played in his films.
