Description
An excerpt from the broadcast announcing the release of the CD with the last public concert (Sea Interludes from the opera Peter Grimes by Britten and 7th symphony by Beethoven) conducted by the gravely ill conductor Leonard Bernstein in Tanglewood 2 years ago on the same date. Music critic Pincus, present at the concert, describes the emotional and physical travails of Bernstein that affected his usual interpretation of these works.
