Content: Seven elaborately ornamented initials in the Wallachian style; ornamenal motifs include vegetation, birds, snakes, rabits, praying human figures, angels, Christ (f. 4v).
Ownership: Charles F. Gunther of Chicago; sale by American Art Association 1925; library of Wilberforce Eames of Brooklyn, NY; bequeathed by Eames to NYPL in 1940.
