Another version of this painting is held by the National Gallery in London under the title Landscape with the marriage of Isaac and Rebecca (1648). Claude Lorrain, also known by his real name Claude Gellée, is probably the most revered landscape artist of the Baroque period. William Wilson is described in the British Museum's online catalog as a reproductive engraver active ca. 1750-1790.
