Three women and two men perform a chain dance around a large barrel in an outdoor setting. The women wear high head-dresses (fontange), gowns with frills at elbows, ornamental aprons. The men wear periwigs, hats, justaucorps with large cuffs, high-heeled shoes. Two men stand on the barrel. One holds a large triangle and bell, the other turns a hurdy-gurdy.
