Notes
Biographical/historical: Caption text from the 2024 exhibition "Photo Call" at the Library for the Performing Arts includes the following background on this photograph, provided by photographer Carol Rosegg: "The diner in 45 Seconds was inspired by the renowned Cafe Edison located in the lobby of the Hotel Edison on West 47th Street in Manhattan. This was a very popular hangout among theatre people. Framed headshots decorated one wall of the diner. The set designer, John Lee Beatty, asked me to photograph various people associated with the show (press agent, company manager, etc.) to decorate one wall. I included my own headshot and thus made my Broadway debut! (I am in the second row, second one over.)"
