Notes
Content: Covered wagon and ox team (not shown) publicize Ezra Meeker's efforts to preserve the Oregon Trail.
Statement of responsibility: "The Ezra Meeker historical post cards for schools, libraries, the home, and collectors."--printed on verso.
Content: "The central space of Broad Street near Wall is roped off and within the enclosure men shout and clamor and gesticulate with uplifted hands of mute sign language, conveying intelligence to each other and to principals in near by second, third or fourth floor offices. The advent of the ox team caused a complete suspension of business with calls for speech! speech! which was briefly responded to, followed by a cheer, and instantly up went hands and the din became greater than ever as Dave and Dandy jostled the crowd in rounding up to the old subtreasury building and the Washington statue."--printed on verso.
