Content: Plate 4 from the album Un an a Rome. A double lithograph after drawings by Antoine Jean Baptiste Thomas. Upper lithograph, Polichinelle et Grotesques, signed lower left: Thomas. lower lithograph, entitled Loges de Theatre, signed lower left: Thomas. At right: Lith. de Villain.
Content: Upper portion of print depicts a pair of acrobats at extreme left and right. A Pulcinella, arms upraised, watches a couple dancing at center. The woman is poised on left pointe. The man is finishing a sauté in arabesque.
Content: Lower portion of print (10.4 x 21.3 cm.) depicts a partial view of four boxes in a theater, ostensibly in Rome. The occupants three boxes gaze out into various parts of the theater. The of curtains of the fourth box are completely drawn.
