Notes
Content: "Much has been made of the superiority of the Bulgarians' Creusot to the Turks' Krupp, but it was less the gun than the man behind it who has enhanced the reputation of the former weapon. The cavalry is the weakest branch of the Bulgarian Army, which took the field with only 5500 sabres. Considering their numbers, they did excellent work, though if they had been strong enough to reap the fruits of the victory of Lule Burgas the war might have been over much sooner."--printed on border.
