Ownership: Folio 1 is inscribed: "e libris Gulielmi Chapple, 1775." Wilberforce Eames acquired it for his library (Brooklyn, NY) in 1926 from W. M. Voynich. Gift of Eames, 1940.

Content: Note pasted into flyleaf says that William Chapple was West Country topographer, according to Dictionary of National Biography.
