Veterans Hospital, Tuskegee, Alabama, are busy assembling Buddy Poppies for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Sale which will be conducted nationally during the week preceding Memorial Day; All the Buddy Poppies are made by disabled and needy veterans and the entire proceeds from their sale are used for welfare and relief activities; An allotment of a portion of the proceeds is made each year to the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home for widows and orphans of ex-service men in Eaton Rapids, Michigan; A national goal of 21,000,000 Buddy Poppies has been set for the V.F.W's [Veterans of Foreign Wars] 1947 sale; Veterans of Foreign Wars, 489 Fifth Avenue, N.Y.C."
