Content: Caption on back: "Brothers Charles (left) and George Charlton of Beaumont, Texas, enlisted in the Navy together, were 'shipmates' in basic training at Great Lakes Training Station, Ill., schoolmates at service school, and have been advanced to quartermaster third class. They represent 30 per cent of the Charlton family in uniform. A third brother is a second lieutenant in the Army Air Force, while a fourth wears the R.O.T.C. uniform at Prairie View College."
