Content: Summary: Using stereotyped language, the narrator tells of Wing Lee who bought a clock that rang in ragtime; because of this, African Americans broke into his store in order to dance; furious, Wing Lee called the police, but the officer was also an African American who began to dance, leaving Wing Lee frustrated.
