Content: Etchings of the Pacific from sketches Meryon made during his voyage there in 1842-1846, including views of Akaroa, New Zeland, Marshall Islands, New Caledonia, Tonga, Uvea and the Pacific Ocean. Other subjects include bays, beaches, chickens, dogs, drift net fishing, fishers, grass huts, islands, mountains, palms, poetry, sailboats and swine. Some prints include the artist's monogram. Some prints are present in more than one state.
