Notes
Content: These pages are from the scrapbook that was exhibited at the Libraries and Museums Booth at the Child Welfare Exhibit held at the 71st Regimental Armory from January 18 - February 12, 1911. The photographs were taken by Lewis W. Hine at the direction of Anne Carroll Moore or other N.Y.P.L. librarians. In addition, the Archives has Lewis Hine lantern slides also used at the CWE. The silver gelatin photoprints are approximately 4 5/8" x 6 5/8" to 7 5/8" x 9 1/2" and are mounted on heavy gray paper. Captions are lettered in red and black ink on mounts. Since the original order of the pages is unknown, a new number has been written in pencil on both sides of each sheet.
Content: 'Last American History on the shelves this afternoon.' Same afternoon one half hour later. [Seward Park or Webster] "The next day's lessons" -- Reference room at Rivington Street. Webster is pencilled in.
