Eskimo dances on St. Lawrence Island and King Island (si., col. and b&w, ca. 7 min.) / footage from the collection of the University of Alaska, Anchorage and Fairbanks, copied from a television screen -- Interview with Victor Goldsberry (ca. 24 min.) / Goldsberry, an ivory trader and translator, relates various accounts of shamans from Eskimos who had firsthand dealings with them, and recounts stories of famous shamans of the past, particularly in their functions as seers and healers -- 2. Continuation of interview with Victor Goldsberry (ca. 2 min.) -- Interview with an Eskimo elder (ca. 17 min.) / statements by an unidentified man from St. Lawrence Island, speaking primarily in Yupik with a few remarks in English, interspersed with footage of Eskimo dancers and drummers (b&w and col.), including the color sequence seen at the beginning of cassette 1. Topics discussed in English include sources of lighting before the introduction of electricity, hunting, and kayaking.
