Description
Part 1 (00-8:30 minutes). Unidentified BBC radio host interviews Leida Snow who talks about the upcoming 1994 New York premiere of the musical "Sunset Boulevard" (book and lyrics by Don Black and Christopher Hampton ; music by Andrew Lloyd Webber) with Glenn Close playing the role of Norma Desmond. She predicts success of both the musical and Close, in the role of main female character, despite her vocal limitations. Part 2 (8:32-20:13 minutes). Recorded excerpts from WQXR, the classical music station of New York, hosted by Leida Snow who announces the upcoming classical music concerts in New York City, radio commercials, and weather forecast.
