Content: Bound notebook, possibly belonging to a magistrate or other official who witnessed and ratified transactions between individuals in the colony of New York. The records include bonds, indentures for apprenticeship, petitions and sales, including a 1767 one in which David Jones of Fort Neck, Queens County sold an enslaved man named Luvee to Cornell Smith, a yeoman from Hempstead.
