Description
Reproduction of a painting. In an ornately decorated room, a ballet class for female dancers is interrupted by an illness or injury of one of the women, who presses one hand to her cheek as though in pain. An older woman, possibly her mother, and a fellow student bend solicitously towards her, while the male ballet master looks on from a distance. Two other men, in the background, may be patrons of dancers in the class.
