Dorothy Sturgis used this draft to create an illustrated notice "To the next Burglar [sic]" that was attached to the front door at "Innocents at Home"/"Stormfield." Affidavit to the court identifying stolen silver. Holograph, November 6, 1908. 1 double leaf. Notice pasted to inside front cover of: In the Clutch of Circumstance: My Own Story by a Burglar, New York, London, 1922, with account of Mark Twain burglary. Affidavit (folded leaf) pasted to title page. See also "The House that Twain Built" (item 4788683).
