The images in the other prints use both landscape and portrait orientation.Acquisition: Tivoli Gift; Lillian Moore.Biographical/historical: Alfred Jacobsen, born in Copenhagen in 1853, was a lithographer and publisher. His series Danske Billeder, which may be translated as Danish pictures or Danish images, began to appear in 1886, and continued to be published for many years.

DescriptionPrints of two toy theatres, one of them identifiable as the Gamle Scene (Old Stage) of the Kongelige Teater (Royal Theatre) of Copenhagen by the motto on the proscenium, "Ei blot til lyst" ("Not just for pleasure"). The other toy theatre includes curtains, chairs, and a scene of putti unveiling a backdrop of a classical landscape. The third print depicts the entrance to Tivoli, the renowned entertainment center in Copenhagen, with figures of soldiers and attendees, both adults and children.
