Description
Company archivist David Vaughan describes this series, organized by Robert Swinston, as a "living archival presentation" of Merce Cunningham's choreography. This program is an overview of the Company's history from the 1950s-2000s. Footage includes excerpts from Suite for Five, Aeon, Canfield, Torse, Points in Space, Doubles, CRWDSPCR and Interscape performed live by MCDC and RUGs dancers. Each performance is preceded and/or followed by discussion about the piece. Merce Cunningham speaks; David Vaughan moderates. The program is introduced by Trevor Carlson.
