Description
This is a studio recording for a broadcast of the program Sottovoce on Rai television (Italian national broadcasting company). Marzullo, the host of the program, interviews M. Baryshnikov who is on tour in Europe with his company White Oak Dance Project performing in Milan at Teatro Lirico from October 31 to November 5, 1996. The questions are mostly of a personal nature and include: what rapport Baryshnikov has with Italy and Italians, why he is reluctant to give interviews, what freedom means to him, at what age did he start dancing, what he can say about his love for women, what are his fears, what are his feelings about God and religion, what wishes he has for the future etc. The conversation is conducted in Italian with an English translation of Baryshnikov's answers.
