Description
Mikhail Baryshnikov and Twyla Tharp in a vignette directed by Annie Leibovitz. The first images of the pair are of their feet: they then run, jump, and dance while special effects are used to turn these images into a moving zoetrope. As they move, Baryshnikov and Tharp take turns discussing dance and explaining how their work methods have evolved over time. This segment was filmed as part of Great Performances' 20th Anniversary broadcast on WNET.
